Staying safe
Aid Stations, First Aid & Safety
Unbroken has one manned aid station roughly midway on each loop during daylight, plus qualified first aid at the precinct and on course. Overnight, the aid station stays in place but becomes self-serve — so plan to be self-sufficient after dark.
Aid Stations
On the course
A manned aid station sits approximately midway on each loop during daylight hours (1 pm–6 pm and 6 am–midday).
Overnight, the aid station remains in place but is self-serve only — runners must be self-sufficient.
Remember, Unbroken is cupless: bring your own drinking vessel (see Race Day Essentials).
In the race precinct
Water and sports drink (provided by FIXX Nutrition) are available at the precinct for pre- and post-run needs. Athletes supply their own on-course nutrition.
First Aid
Qualified first aid is on hand for anything minor or more serious, located adjacent to the finish chute.
A first aid attendant is also stationed on course.
Make sure your emergency contact and medical details are filled in on the back of your race bib.
Emergency Procedure
An onsite medic will be available for the duration of the race, and race directors contact details will be available upon registration. All runners are to carry a mobile phone, and in the event of an emergency, are to call 000 for assistance.
Course Safety
Watch your footing on trail, run to the conditions, and carry a torch for any laps after dark. If you don't feel able to safely continue, please stop at the precinct and notify event staff.
